BJ R&V CALC WITH HOURS OF PLAY ESTIMATE
Summary
This calculator is a variation of the return & variance calculator. It includes all the functions of the standard calc, along with an hours of play estimate. Only blackjack is supported at this time.
The player speed input and software selection pulldown are used to estimate your rate of play. You can modify this estimate by changing the Hands per Hour input field from the default value. The software speed estimates are based on the values in this table. These table values are used, if you select a player speed of "Maximum." A player speed of "High" assumes your maximum rate of play is ~900 hands per hour. A player speed of "Medium" assumes your maximum rate of play is ~600 hands per hour. A player speed of "Low" assumes your maximum rate of play is ~300 hands per hour.
The Hands per Hour input is expressed in terms of a single player hand against a single dealer hand. With multi-hand play, The "Hand : Delay Ratio" input is used to adjust rate of play estimations. This input is only visible when Multiple Hands is more than 1. The Hand : Delay Ratio is the ratio between the time it takes to complete one of the player hands, and the common delay for all hands while waiting for the dealer to play and waiting for the next hand to be dealt. A lower value makes multi-hand play more useful. In the example on the multi-hand page, the hand : delay ratio is 2.7 / 1.6 ~= 1.7. You can modify this value from the default for more precise estimates.
